Features:
Clinch studs for thinner sheet metal panels

Functional principle of fastener

RIVTEX® RXS EPS studs are captive fasteners clinched into formed sheet  metal panels, resulting in ready to use components. The result are sheet metal components ready-to-fit.

RIVTEX® for maximum quality

RIVTEX®  clinch studs are installed into pre-pierced panels. Initially the hole in the panel is widened by the calibrating collar, which also centers the stud. The material is deformed and pressed into the ribs under the head.

A very high load-carrying capacity is achieved by means of the patented underhead geometry. Reduced production stages and energy consumption result in considerable cost savings. An additional advantage is the possibility of installing multiple clinch studs in a single operation.

Starting position

Insertion of the stud into pre-punched hole in clinch die.

Press stroke

Centering of the sheet metal above the calibration collar.

Punching process

Widening the plate above the calibration collar and displacement of the material in the ribs.

Clinching process

Clinching of the material.
